10/22/05 … ACCOUNT MANAGERS, DIRECTOR OF SALES ATTENDED, HELD AT A LOCAL MALL, WE HANDED OUT INFORMATION ABOUT BROADCASTING JOBS, ACCEPTED RESUMES, AND ANSWERERD QUESTIONS ABOUT RADIO JOB OPPORTUNITIES, RECEIVED 11 APPLICATIONS/RESUMES.

9/14/05 … FALL CAREER FAIR AT LOCAL UNIVERSTITY….DUES WERE PAID TO ATTEND, THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE RITA, RESCHEDULED FOR 2/16/06.

10/2/06 … JOB FAIR AT LOUISIANA WORKFORCE CENTER-THIS WAS CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE RITA.

****ALL CAREER DAYS WERE CANCELLED BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 05 – DECEMBER 05, 2005 DUE TO HURRICANE RITA.

Hosted at least one job fair.

10/22/05 – APEX HOSTED WITH THE LOCAL MALL,

10 BUSINESS PARTICIPATED IN THE EVENT. SEMINARS WERE HELD BY APEX MANAGEMENT ABOUT WORKING IN THE BROADCASTING INDUSTRY, ALSO THE U.S. ARMED FORCES HELD INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS. TOTAL ATTENDANCE APPROXIMATELY 300.

Co-sponsored at least one job fair with organizations in the business and professional community whose membership includes substantial participation by women and minorities.

10/2/05 … APEX AND THE LOUISIANA WORKFORCE JOB FAIR … THIS WAS CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE RITA,   WE WILL RE-SCHEDULE IN 2006.

 

Participated in at least 4 events sponsored by organizations representing groups present in the community interested in broadcast employment issues, including conventions, career days, workshops, and similar activities.

APEX MANAGEMENT CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE, JUNIOR COLLEGES, TECHNICAL SCHOOLS,

AND TRADE SCHOOLS WITH-IN THE 5 PARISH AREA….ALL CAREER DAYS, WORKSHOPS, ETC. WAS CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE RITA.

Established an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment.

PROVIDE INTERSHIP FOR 1-3 STUDENTS PER SEMESTER WHO ARE MAJORING IN MASS COMMUNICATIONS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN CREDIT HOURS IN AN EFFORT TO ACHIEVE THEIR MAJOR.

Participated in job banks, internet programs, and other programs designed to promote outreach generally (i.e., that are not primarily directed to providing notification of specific job vacancies).

A SCHEDULE PROGRAM IS NOT IN PLACE. EMPLOYEES ARE OFFERED PAID TRAINING THRU CONTINUING EDUCATION THOUGH LOCAL AND REGIONAL SOURCES. WE INTERNALLY PROMOTE CROSS TRAINING POSSIBILITIES.

Established a mentoring program for station personnel.

ONE ON ONE MENTORING IS AVAILABE TO PROMOTE OPPORTUNITIES. A SCHEDULED PROGRAM IS NOT IN PLACE. GENERAL MANAGER AND LOCAL SALES MANAGERS SET ASIDE EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING TO MEET WITH STATION PERSONNEL.
